BALLINSKELLIGS Co Kerry

Come to Ballinskelligs on the western shores of Co Kerry - Bank Holiday 4th till 6th June

We are returning to St Finians Bay and Ballinskelligs for the June Bank Holiday weekend, 4th till 6th  June 2022, staying in the friendly Ballinskelligs Hostel we plan to dive the very varied sites off Puffin Island and on out to the majestic Skelligs Rocks.

The Skelligs can truly be classified as one of the wonders of the world, towering out of the Atlantic, the rocks resemble an ocean bound Mount Everest with the ever present Gannets cruising the skies and Puffins skimming the waves as they return to their dramatic nesting spots.

Below the surface, the drama of the seascape continues down with rich carpets of soft corals and sponges everywhere. Shoals of Pollack and Wrasse in large numbers can be seen at every turn with a good chance that you will see some Crawfish or Spiny Lobsters guarding their territory.

We have booked plenty of rooms for the June Bank Holiday in the Ballinskelligs Hostel which is within an easy drive from Glen Pier and St Finians Bay. All the rooms are excellent with good facilities and really friendly staff.  It's an easy stroll down to the local pubs for some well earned apres dive pints in the evening!
